Shipment of 63 boxes from China contained illegally imported Tetrahydrocannabinol.
This past week, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in Dulles seized 50,400 atomizers containing Tetrahydrocannabinol that came from China and were headed to a Virginia address. The value of the illegally imported drug paraphernalia was estimated to exceed $131,000.
“With the enormous popularity in vaping, Customs and Border Protection encourages those who do consume e-cigarette products to be absolutely certain that the product they are inhaling is safe and not manufactured by an unscrupulous vendor in an unregulated facility with unknown products,” Acting Area Port Director for the Area Port of Washington, D.C., John Jurgutis said. “Ensuring that all imports comply with federal import and safety laws is one way in which CBP protects consumers every day from potentially dangerous products that could cause them harm.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For CBP agents working to stop importing of illegal and unsafe substances.
- For Acting Director Jurgutis as he oversees the Area Port of Washington, D.C.
- For vapers and e-cigarette users to be mindful of the source of the products they purchase.
